  • Regina blount

    church administrator

Regina Blount was hired as the Church Administrator in 2004.  Since then she has also served as Lay Leader, Youth Group Director, Christian Education Chair, dinner/fundraiser orchestrator, and more.  A "cradle Methodist," she is the daughter of a retired United Methodist Pastor, and has spent her life growing up and serving in the church and greater community.  A mother of two, she has also raised her boys within the church, piggybacking on the love and support she always felt within a family of faith, and wanting her children to always know that they are loved, cherished, and valued as precious children of God.  What Regina loves most is meeting people where they are - as they are - and walking at their side.  She looks to Romans 12 for inspiration and guidance on how to humbly live as a servant of God.

Most Sunday mornings before and after worship she is a blur of activity, but in quiet moments of prayer, you will find her happily sitting next to her devoted and tech savvy husband, Luther.  From time to time you'll also hear them singing together (with Luther on guitar,) as they lift their hearts in praise.  In 2016 Regina was recognized for her faithfulness and dedication by The Barrington United Methodist Church and awarded a "Partner in Faith" by the Rhode Island Council of Churches.  In 2020 when the pandemic hit, she continued to deepen her faith by taking Zoom courses offered by our New England Conference Lay Servant Ministry Seacoast District. She has since earned the titles of Certified Lay Servant and Certified Lay Speaker, and is a candidate to become a Certified Lay Minister.

He eventually finds his way to underground churches forbidden by the Communist government, and it was there in 1990 he received salvation.
