Joys and Concerns

Published March 14, 2018 by bumcri in Uncategorized

The sharing of joys/concerns is a beloved component of our worship service.  Members lift up names of those they love and pray for neighbors, friends, coworkers, family, random acts of kindness they witness, and sometimes even for themselves as they approach unknown paths in life.  A pastoral prayer is said to lift up those mentioned (as well as those who are unmentioned, but held in our hearts), and afterwards the congregation recites “The Lord’s Prayer” in unison:

Our church family would like to pray for you and join you as you  lift your petitions to God.  If you would like to make a prayer request, you are welcome to do so.  For privacy purposes, please only submit the first name and last initial.  The website administrator will review requests before publishing on our website.
