Annual Church Conference Meeting

Barrington UMC’s Annual Church Conference was rescheduled for Wednesday, January 16, 2019 at 6:30 PM. The Staff & Parish Relations Committee will meet with the D.S. prior to the Church Conference at 5:30 PM. The purpose of the Church Conference (rather than a Charge Conference) is to encourage broader participation by members of the church. The charge conference may be convened as the church conference, extending the vote to all professing members of the local church present at such meetings. Your vote matters! Please plan to attend. You must be present to vote.

Mission Sunday

Mission Sunday:  This Sunday, April 29th in Fellowship Hall at 9:00 AM; Come and join us at The Barrington United Methodist Church (230 Washington Road) as we begin an exciting new series on the 5th Sundays of the month with a mission’s theme.  We will be writing handwritten notes that each person will then distribute in the coming days or weeks to a person in need.  Every note will include a $10 Dunkin Doughnuts gift card.  Members of the church will then be asked to report back in the following weeks about the interaction.  The service will also include scripture […]

Sanctuary Now More Handicapped Accessible

Our sanctuary is now more handicapped accessible!  Several pews have been removed (currently in Fellowship Hall) to make room for wheelchairs.  There is now a small pew for a family member/friend to sit next to their loved one.  We also have more room for our choir to stand and sing into microphones.  We hope you enjoy the slight changes in our sanctuary.  If anyone has any other ideas about ways we can make our church welcome and inviting to all, please talk to one of our Worship Chairs:  Debbie Humm, Sue Eddins, and Angela Sutton.
